Introduction
Welcome to the Armed Forces & Veterans Estate Agency (AFV Estates) website. This is a lifestyle and affinity based Corporate Social Enterprise designed to benefit our Armed Forces and Veterans. We are a UK Veterans run organisation. You are eligible to register for free if you are a serving or veteran member or immediate family, of any of the following organisations or groups:
- Royal Navy
- Army
- Royal Air Force
- Royal Fleet Auxiliary
- MOD
- Regular Reserve
- Territorial Army
- Royal Navy Reserve
- Royal Air Force Reserve
- Armed Forces Veteran
- Immediate / Service Widow(er)
- Commonwealth Forces
Acceptance
The Site Terms are also available on the bottom navigation bar of each page. They protect our website from misuse.
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this Website. By visiting or using this Website, or by agreeing to this Online Agreement, you accept these Site Terms and confirm that you are eligible as defined in the introductory paragraph. Continued use of this Site constitutes your acceptance of any revisions to these Site Terms. You accept that your information will be held within the AFV Estates database and will not be circulated to any 3rd party without your express permission. (See our Privacy Policy below)
Privacy Policy
As former members of the Armed Forces we completely understand the potential security risks that could result from leaked personal information. We take this subject very seriously indeed and undertake to diligently safeguard such data. We are wholly compliant and registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and undertake to implement best practice as directed by the Information Commissioner's Office. Our privacy policy can be simplified as follows:
- Your Information is Confidential. Your personal information is held in the strictest confidence.
- We protect your information. We have physical security at our buildings, passwords to protect our databases, compliance audits, and world-class virus/intrusion detection software in place.
- We will not sell your information. We undertake to protect the personal information of both our existing and former clients and as such we will not divulge your personal details to any third party that is not contracted to provide services to AFV Estates without your express permission.
Definitions
These are definitions used in this agreement.
'Site' means www.afvestates.co.uk. 'AFV Estates' or 'us' or 'our' refers to our UK trading name AFV Estates and its subsidiary companies or partners. 'You' or 'your' means the user of this Site.
Use of the term "member" or "client" does not convey any legal, ownership, or eligibility rights for any property or associated products, goods and services. Eligibility will not change based on factors such as marital status, rank, or military status. Contact us to update your records. Children of AFV Estates members are eligible to purchase goods and services if their eligible parent purchases goods and services through the AFVG Group of companies.

Suggestions: Suggestions and offers on this Website are not recommendations, unless expressly identified as such, and may not be appropriate for all users, even where the Website indicates that users like you have purchased the product.
Anti Money Laundering and Know your Customer (KYC): It will be necessary in certain circumstances, to verify and record your name, address, date of birth and other information that you provide when you open an account or submit a profile. This ensures you are who you say you are. This relates specifically to certain Financial Products.
Financial Planning and Regulated Financial Products: AFV Estates will not provide direct Financial Planning advice or offer advice on any regulated financial product as defined by the Financial Services Authority. AFV Estates has contracted with a fully registered and authorised Veterans run company to provide these services. This company licensed by us to deliver these goods and services is as follows:
- AFV Mortgage Services - a trading style of Towergate Financial (west) Ltd. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA No: 147692).
Estate Agency and Property Related Products: AFV Estates has several means by which it sources property, these include (but is not restricted to) Developers, Banks, Building Societies & Property Agents. AFV Estates contracts with a number of agents throughout the UK to provide Estate Agency related services to eligible members. Agents will trade under licence as Property Consultants to AFV Estates. All agents are regulated by the Property Ombudsman and are fully compliant with the guidelines issued by the Information Commissioners Office in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Company Identification: The products and services offered on this Site are provided by AFV Estates and its associated companies.
Availability of Products: AFV Estates products and services are generally available to military members and their families who meet certain membership eligibility criteria.
Membership: The terms 'member' and 'membership' generally refer to current AFV Estates customers who are eligible due to their military service and their spouses and children who are current AFV Estates customers. Use of the term 'member' and 'membership' does not convey any legal, eligibility, or ownership rights.
Computer Requirements: To use this Site, you must have a personal computer equipped with a modem or other access device. You are responsible for the selection, installation, maintenance, and operation of your computer and software. We are not responsible for any errors, failures, or malfunctions of your computer or software. You are responsible for ensuring that your computer and software are compatible with our Site. We reserve the right to change the system requirements for using this Site.
Posting Comments
This section explains our policy regarding postings on this Site. We do not publish all postings. We may disclose your identity in response to legal actions. AFV Estates owns the content you submit.
Our Right to Publish: By posting a comment on this Site or on AFV Estates - sponsored message boards, discussion forums or other interactive content on third party sites, you agree that AFV Estates may publish your comment in whole, or in part. Jurisdiction and Venue: In the event of a claim or dispute under these Site Terms, the exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall be with a court in Scotland. You consent to the jurisdiction of such courts and agree to accept service of process issued by such courts.
Severability: If any provision of these Site Terms or the Online Agreement is unlawful, void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and in effect to the fullest extent possible.
Waivers: Any waiver of any provision of these Site Terms or the Online Agreement will be effective only if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of AFV Estates. Any delay or omission by AFV Estates to exercise any rights under these Site Terms or the Online Agreement shall not be construed to waive any rights.
Section Headings: The section titles, the italicized explanations in the shaded boxes, and the section headings are not part of the agreement and are not to be used in interpreting the terms of the agreement.
Conflicts: In the event of a conflict between these Site Terms or the Online Agreement and your Product Agreement, the Product Agreement shall take precedence.
Notices: If you have registered at this Site we will notify you of any material changes to these Site Terms or the Online Agreement by using any of the contact information you have provided to us. These changes will not apply to disputes that arise prior to the effective date of the change.
